ANP is an official group of the South African Medical Association (SAMA) known as THE ASSOCIATION OF NUCLEAR PHYSICIANS with the following objectives:

• To promote the practice of nuclear medicine
• To promote health for all
• To define and establish relationships amongst nuclear physicians and between them and medical physicists, nuclear medicine radiographers, hospitals, public and private institutions, government authorities, the medical professions generally and the public.
• To promote the professional and legitimate interests of nuclear medicine

In order to better coordinate the activities of the ANP and SASNM, the ANP President is a member of SASNM Council.
